CICs and CIOs - please note - Moondance will not support applicaitons from newly formed CICs or CIOs, as we want to see a minimum of two years operations.

  • Religious activity
  • Research (medical or social)
  • Schools (primary and secondary) or their PTAs
  • Sports clubs

+ How much can I apply for?

Grants are awarded from £500 upwards, the amount depends on several factors including:

  • how much you need

  • the scale of your project

  • how much your organisation has raised already.

We encourage organisations to develop a sustainable funding base so that they are not overly reliant on one source of funding.

Our Trustees are experienced grant-makers and will use their judgement as to what amount of funding they feel is appropriate and are able to grant to a charity. You will need to specify the amount you are asking for in your application, including a detailed breakdown of how you would use the funds if successful.

+ Can I speak to someone before I make an application?

We are sorry we cannot discuss or consider a potential application or project before an application is made via our online application form.

+ What questions do you ask on the application form?

For information purposes only, details of the questions we ask on the online application form can be found here.
Note: we will only consider applications that come in via the online form.

+ The SUMBIT button on the online application form is not working, what should I do?

Please check your word count, as if you exceed the number of words where a limit is stated it will not let you submit the applicaiton. Unfortunately, the count stops counting at zero, and will not indicate how many words you are over.

+ If my application is unsuccessful, how long should I wait until I submit another application to Moondance?

We recommend you wait a minimum of six months before submitting a further application to Moondance.
